In answer to your question belfast sinks are not commonly recommended with laminate worktops.
This is because of the way the sinks are positioned as undermounted solutions.
If water gets into the sealed edge of the laminate worktop then it will just blow swell the worktop as you would have to cut and re edge laminate when fitting it next to the sink.
Well our answer to this question is it s a definite no when it comes to using belfast sinks with laminate worktops.

You can use laminate worktop with a belfast sink but you need to set the sink slightly higher than the worktop you have to seal the cut worktop with a glue or sealant and you then need to use a bead of sealant around the fixed sink.
